The Cavendish Maine team
Cavendish Maine, a Bristol firm, have pledged to raise a massive £10,000 for Macmillan.
Cavendish Maine, a recruitment company based in Bristol has chosen Macmillan as its charity partner for 2015 and hopes to raise thousands of pounds from staff fundraising.
Macmillan was chosen as the charity partner because in December 2014, one of their founding members was diagnosed with cancer and spoke very highly of the support he received from his Macmillan nurse.
Russell Cripps, Managing Partner, said: 'When Stuart was diagnosed with cancer, we were all keen to show support to our dear friend and as a company, wanted to help in some way. We decided that one of the best ways to do this was to take part in events like the Iron Man Relay and Adrenaline Rush, as well as organizing a couple of our own events to show our support, raise awareness and donate the funds raised to Macmillan. Tragically, Stuart lost his battle with cancer on the 16th March and we were all shocked and saddened. We are now using these events to honour the memory of our friend and colleague.'
Macmillan’s fundraising manager for Bristol, Ceris Bradley said: 'We would like to thank Cavendish Maine for choosing to support us and we know they are going to raise a fantastic amount of money in memory of Stuart.'
