Pupils from Bishop Sutton Primary School, in particular Swallow class, have raised a fantastic amount as a result of their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The school invited pupils, parents and the local community to join them at their coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan.
Students, parents and staff baked cakes and biscuits which were then sold for donations and a fantastic sum of £1,053 was raised. A wonderful effort for a school of just 143 pupils and an increase of their £747 raised in 2014.
Kaeti Morrison, fundraising manager, says 'I am so impressed with the efforts of all of the pupils at Bishop Sutton Primary School, especially Swallow class, and would like to say a huge thank you to them all. Also thanks go to Mrs Patel, their teacher, and all of the parents and local people who came in to support their event.
'It is only with the support of our local communities we are able to continue funding vital cancer services and this really was a wonderful community event.'
