A fantastic evening of music with Helena Softley and Graham Clark.
The Fishponds and Downend Rotary Club are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support as their charity of the year and have many great local events planned.
One of their events is the Autumn Concert, which is taking place on Friday 27th November 2015. Come along and join them for an evening of fantastic music with Helena Softley and Graham Clark.
Helena has a rare musical talent, a strong but beautiful and melodic songbird voice. Her music is both subtle and thoughtful: representative of her musical influences from the world of popular song in the last 45 years. She is comfortable singing Bob Dylan to Snow Patrol and Amy Winehouse to Lily Allen.
Violin virtuoso Graham is a fantastic fiddle player. Classically trained but with a style tempered by influences in jazz, progressive rock, and folk music over the last 50 years. He has worked with the band ‘Elbow’ who had an international hit with “One Day Like This”.
Together they complement each other bringing elements of their individual performances to produce musical variety and superb arrangements.
The concert will be held at Frenchay Village Hall, Bristol, BS16 1NU, from 7:30pm – tickets are £10 and there will be a bar and raffle! All money raised from their events will be donated to Macmillan.
