Ways to
support us

Print Share

We're lucky enough to have a huge number of people who support us in our work, but we're always looking to spread the word even further.

Talking to potential supporters

Macmillan uses door to door fundraisers, postal appeals, magazine inserts and phone calls to recruit new supporters.

Contacting people through these channels is a very cost-effective way for charities to get donations from large numbers of supporters. We track all responses to our appeals to ensure that we are investing funds wisely.

Keeping current supporters involved

It is important to us that we continue to keep our supporters involved in the work we are able to do thanks to their generous support. We also sometimes ask for further donations, if they can spare them, so that we can continue to help more people affected by cancer and become more influential in fighting for needed changes in government.

We use postal appeals, raffles, and phone calls to contact our supporters. These raise vital money to help people at all stages of their cancer journey.
