Around 3800 people are diagnosed with cancer in Coventry and Warwickshire every year. Macmillan in Coventry and Warwickshire can help by providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support. Thanks to you, people affected by cancer in Coventry and Warwickshire now benefit from over 60 Macmillan health professionals; nurses, doctors and therapists, who are specialists in cancer care.

Macmillan works with the NHS and other health and social care partners in your area to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. There is a strong team of Macmillan health professionals in Coventry and Warwickshire, all of whom are helping people living with cancer in our hospitals and local community. We need hundreds of thousands of pounds this year to ensure we can pay for:

  • a newly appointed Macmillan dietitian
  • two Macmillan psychologists, helping people with cancer adjust to the new realities of their everyday life
  • special training in palliative care for a Macmillan GP
  • money to fund our cancerline, youthline and emotional support services

Last year we also gave out £82,000 in Macmillan financial grants to 220 people. Macmillan believes that no one should be financially deprived as a result of their illness. We do all this thanks to you so please keep helping us to help people affected by cancer!

Five ways you can help us

  • By giving money: Every donation, big or small, makes an essential difference to people living with cancer. Please donate online, or remember us in your will.
  • By organising a collection or event: Could you use your hobby, or get together with friends to raise money for Macmillan. Why not set yourself a challenge and get sponsorship? What about making us your charity at work or at school? We will help with any events you might like to plan.
  • By joining a Macmillan event: Whether it's the World's biggest Coffee morning, the Flora London Marathon, or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, there is a Macmillan event for you and we'll support you all the way.
  • By sharing your skills: Could you give us some of your time? All help with events, collections and administration in the office is always very welcome.
  • By making us your charity: Through you workplace, your school, your club could you get together with friends and colleagues and raise money for Macmillan.
