How to apply
Registering and applying
To register or apply for a position with us all you need to do is:
- Register in order to upload your CV. Your CV must be uploaded as a Word document, the system will convert it into a PDF. Keep your username and password handy for every time you log in, or you can log in using your Google, Linked in, Facebook or Microsoft accounts.
- Once you have found your dream role, simply hit apply and submit the application online by filling out some key information. You'll find our guide to applying [WORD] helpful, and don't forget to make reference to the person specification. If a friend referred you for the job, don't forget to tell us.
- You will need to provide a supporting statement which explains how your skills and abilities match the person specification for the role. This must be no longer than 1,000 words or 7,000 characters.
If you don’t find anything that suits you, don’t worry. We are always looking for talented individuals who can contribute to Macmillan. Create an alert for the roles you are interested in, and we will update you as soon as a suitable position is available.
Your interview at Macmillan
Once you’ve applied we’ll review your CV and supporting statement. We’ll let you know the outcome as soon as we can after the closing date.
If you’re shortlisted, we’ll invite you to attend an interview, or for some roles an appointment at an assessment centre. We may also offer a telephone interview. You’ll meet at least two people there and have the chance to ask your own questions of the panel too. We use competency-based interviews, and you may also need to complete a test or presentation on the day. We’ll let you know what to expect when we invite you.
When we’ve finished doing all the interviews we’ll be in touch to let you know the outcome. We offer feedback to anyone who requests it after their interview, so please get in touch if you'd like some.
