Macmillan Cancer Support launches partnership with Warner Leisure Hotels
Today, Macmillan Cancer Support has announced a new partnership with hotel group Warner Leisure Hotels.
Over the next three years, Warner Leisure Hotels hopes to raise £500,000 for Macmillan, a total which would fund 25,000 hours of Macmillan Professionals support, enabling the charity to directly help over 1,500 people affected by cancer.
From February 1st, Warner will be encouraging year-round engagement with their 3,000 team members – based across 13 UK sites - who they hope will enjoy competing and getting involved in fundraising initiatives for the charity. Warner will also be creating opportunities for guests to get involved and feel part of the brands commitment to Macmillan – a cause that will no doubt be close to many of their hearts.
The number of people living with cancer in the UK is expected to reach four million by 2030, which is why Warner Leisure Hotels and Macmillan Cancer Support are working together to raise vital funds.
‘Simon Thompson, Managing Director Warner Leisure Hotels commented: ‘We are thrilled to be working with Macmillan to support the important work the charity does to help those affected by cancer. All of our 13 Warner sites are excited to begin fundraising for this incredibly worthwhile cause. Many of our team and our guests have seen the impact cancer can have. Through our partnership with Macmillan we can all help ensure that no one faces cancer alone.’
Natasha Parker, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Macmillan Cancer Support commented: ‘Almost 1,000 people every day hear the overwhelming news that they have cancer, but currently Macmillan cannot be there for everyone. That’s why the continued support of partners like Warner Leisure Hotels is so vital. We are delighted to be launching this partnership with such a well-loved brand and hope that by working together with Warner we will reach more people and raise more money to support those affected by cancer.’
