Great Swim, Europe’s biggest open water swim series, has today announced that Macmillan Cancer Support will be their nominated national charity for the next three years. Comprising of five events in locations across the UK, Great Swim expects around 22,000 participants to take on a half mile, one mile, two mile or 5 kilometre challenge this year.

Great Swim Series
Great Swim Series is Europe’s biggest open water swimming series. The first Great Swim event was staged in 2008 and the series has since grown to five events with around 20,000 participant’s each year.
Great Swim is organised by Nova International. Nova, headed by Olympic medallist Brendan Foster, is one of the UK’s leading event management and sports marketing agencies. The company’s current brand portfolio also includes some of the biggest running events in the world, all based on the Bupa Great North Run, Britain’s biggest running event with 56,000 entries.
Our events engage communities, generate positive economic impact, facilitate charity fundraising and promote health and fitness to the masses.
