Macmillan Professionals Excellence Awards 2015
Last year’s winners were announced at a ceremony in the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham, on 12 November. The ceremony was attended by over 400 professionals and was hosted by Olympic Silver Medallist and motivational speaker, Roger Black MBE. Information about the winners and videos of their work are below.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This is our highest and most prestigious award. It recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to supporting Macmillan throughout their career.
The 2015 award was presented to Liz Henderson for her exceptional work to innovate cancer services in Northern Ireland, and to inspire countless colleagues across the UK and beyond.
Henry Garnett Awards
These awards are given in honour of Henry Garnett OBE, who was Macmillan’s Chief Executive for more than 10 years until 1986.
They recognise the contribution of professionals who have worked directly with Macmillan outside of their core professional role – for example by undertaking media work, fundraising, policy development or education.
Congratulations to all the winners, who were presented with their awards locally.
