Our partnership with Travis Perkins and Benchmarx

In 2015 we launched our partnership with Travis Perkins and Benchmarx to build better support for people affected by cancer.

In 2015 Travis Perkins and Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery employees, suppliers and customers came together and raised over £400,000 for Macmillan. From volunteering to taking on challenges and hosting their own Coffee Mornings Travis Perkins and Benchmarx have shown incredible enthusiasm and commitment to our cause.

'I am delighted that Travis Perkins and Benchmarx are in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support. Over three years we hope to raise vital funds and help provide practical support to people affected by cancer. What’s more we are in a unique position to reach a large number of men, to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer and the support available. This, combined with Macmillan’s expertise, will help to ensure that people and their families don’t have to face cancer alone.'  Andrew Harrison, Chief Operating Officer

For 2016, Travis Perkins and Benchmarx have set the target of raising £1 million. Plans are underway for a variety of fundraising activities from running the London Marathon and hiking challenges, to running sporting sweepstakes in branches. Alongside fundraising, Travis Perkins and Benchmarx are committed to raising awareness of our cause and will be a huge part of a wider construction sector campaign to raise awareness of cancer among men.

Together with Travis Perkins and Benchmarx we are looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.
