Our partnership with Travelodge

Macmillan began its partnership with leading value hotel brand Travelodge in March 2013. Travelodge has now raised more than £700,000 and continues to support Macmillan for a fourth year into 2016.

Employees and customers from Travelodge hotels all across the UK raise money for Macmillan via hundreds of fundraising activities. These include supporting our World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, an annual Travelodge 'Green Day', selling Macmillan merchandise at reception areas and cafe bars and employees taking part in a wide range of Challenge Events.

Travelodge staff are always looking for unique ways of fundraising for Macmillan and in 2013 surpassed themselves by taking part in the ‘Bed Nevis’ challenge. This involved a team of employees carrying and constructing a Travelodge bedroom at the top of Ben Nevis. The event raised just under £70,000.

To further their support for Macmillan, Travelodge have also partnered up with Pennies, a pioneering electronic donation box system. This makes it even easier for them to engage their customers to raise money for us.
