Our partnership with Marks & Spencer

The fantastic partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support and M&S has already raised over £6 million since 2010.

The enthusiasm, support and hard work of Marks & Spencer employees and customers means we are able to fund vital specialist Macmillan services in local communities right across the UK.

We are proud to have M&S as the headline partner for our flagship fundraising event, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, and we know that 2016 will be the best year yet. This September, M&S customers will be able to indulge in coffee and cake in M&S cafes, pick up selected M&S foodie goodies or purchase some of the limited-edition homeware, and know that they are making a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

But this is a partnership built on much more than coffee and cake, and the last six years have seen M&S embed Macmillan into their business, by supporting our Work and Cancer programme, and hundreds of M&S staff pledging to support Macmillan through fundraising and volunteering. Last year, thanks to that invaluable support, Macmillan specialist healthcare professionals, from nurses to dietitians and psychologists to doctors, were funded in communities around the UK.

With over two million people living with cancer in the UK today, the demand for Macmillan professionals has never been higher. That figure is set to rise to four million in 2030. We want to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone, and that is why the continued support of partners like M&S is so vital.
