Our partnership with Bonmarché

High street fashion retailer Bonmarché, which caters for women aged 50 plus, has been supporting Macmillan since 1999.

Our amazing long-term partnership with Bonmarché is now in its 17th year. Each of Bonmarché’s 316 stores and head office really support the fundraising events.

One of the great ongoing activities held in stores throughout the year is fashion shows. Bonmarché invites its customers to an exclusive evening of fashion, with drinks and nibbles and a raffle for Macmillan. Some of these have raised more than £1,000 in a night. They also hold their annual 'Go Mad Go Green' weekend and of course fully get behind our flagship event, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

In 2015, 10 Bonmarché employees took part in the Great North Run, and with the help of their colleagues and customers they raised an incredible £49,600. Another fantastic event last year was Bonmarché’s Welsh Coastal Walk where stores across south and west Wales, south Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire took part in a 13.2 mile walk along the Welsh coastline. In total, they walked over 200 miles with family, friends and customers to raise over £17,000 for Macmillan.

As part of the partnership, we’re also delighted to have the support of David Emanuel – Bonmarché's celebrity designer and 'I’m a Celebrity Get Me out Of Here' contestant. David has been involved in multiple sales promotions on scarves each with a donation to Macmillan.

This year, we hope to surpass a £3 million milestone for Macmillan by holding lots more in store and head office events and exciting challenges.
