Richmond Group and National Information Board

Macmillan also works with the Richmond Group of Charities, in order to engage with the National Information Board and other stakeholders working in the field of health data.

We are keen to bring the patient perspective to discussions about the use of healthcare data. We want people living with long-term conditions to experience the best possible care and support. To do this, we need those working in and with the healthcare system to make better use of healthcare data. Equally, we understand people’s justifiable concerns about privacy and security. So, we want to see the healthcare system put in place the highest possible standards of governance and safeguards and ensure that individual preferences about whether their healthcare data are shared are respected.
