How do I enter a Runathon event?

You can enter the event via our website. Simply select the race distance you’d like to take part in (Runathon 10K, Runathon 5K or Runathon Kids) and complete our online application form.

How old do I have to be to take part?

By Sunday 19 June 2016, entrants must be at least 15 years old to take part in Runathon 10K, 11 years old for Runathon 5K and between 4-11 years old to take part in Runathon Kids.

Is there a registration fee?

Standard registration for Runathon 10K is £19.95; Runathon 5K is £15; Runathon Kids is free entry.

How will I know my registration is successful?

You will receive an email confirming your registration and welcoming you to the team.

Where does the event take place?

Runathon takes place in Regent’s Park, London, with the race village/start point based next to the Hub in Regent’s Park (NW1 4NU)

What time does the race start?

The charity village will be open from 8am with the first race beginning at 9.30am.

Will all the Runathon events start at the same time?

No, the event start times will be staggered throughout the morning.

Will I receive training and fundraising support?

Yes, once you’ve completed our online registration form, we will send you a welcome pack in the post, which will contain a full training and fundraising guide.

When will I receive my running number?

You will receive your running number in the post 2 weeks before race day.

If I don’t receive my running number what should I do?

If you haven’t received your running number and pre-race pack from Macmillan by Monday 13th June please contact our team immediately by emailing running@macmillan.org.uk or calling 0207 840 7878 and we can send a replacement in the post to you.

Is this a chip-timed event?

No, this is a fun run so will be self-timed by runners. There will be a timing clock at the start/finish area which Runathon 5K runners will pass once and Runathon 10K runners will pass twice.

How do I order my kit?

The easiest way to order your running kit (technical running t-shirt or vest, sizes XS-XXL) is when you apply for this event, one free item per runner. Alternatively, you can email your request to running@macmillan.org.uk.

How do I exchange my kit if it’s the incorrect size?

If you’ve been sent an incorrect sized running top or you’d like to exchange your running top for different size or style, there is a kit exchange form included in your welcome. Simply complete the form and return this, together with your current item of kit to our mailing house SJM Handling, Unit 1, Kelpatrick Road, Slough, SL1 6BW and they will be able to send you out a replacement.

Is there a fundraising target?

We ask all runners to raise as much as possible for this event, with a suggested minimum fundraising target of £100.

How do I set up a Just Giving page?

How will you receive donations from my Just Giving page?

Provided you’ve set up your Just Giving page for Macmillan Cancer Support and you’ve selected Macmillan Runathon as the organised event you’re taking part in, donations from your page will automatically be sent to Macmillan and credited to your record with us.

How do I pay in offline donations?

For any offline donations, simply contact the running team running@macmillan.org.uk and we can either send you Macmillan’s bank details together with a unique reference number so that you can pay donations in via online transfer. Alternatively we can send you a paying in slip (BGC) so that you can pay offline donations directly into any NatWest bank.

When should I send my donations into you?

We ask that all donations are sent to Macmillan within one month after the event.

How do I cancel my place?

If for any reason you are no longer able to take part in the event, please contact the running team running@macmillan.org.uk to cancel your place.

How do I cancel my place?

Unfortunately not, your race number is for you only, you are not permitted to swap numbers or give away your place. Any new runners will need to register via our website.

Can I take part in a team?

You can absolutely fundraise as a team, simply let our running team know by emailing running@macmillan.org.uk however each member will need to register individually on our website as currently we don’t have the capability for team registration. We apologise for any inconvenience.
