How your support can help

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.

We rely on our supporters for 99% of our income. Without you we couldn't provide any of our services for people living with cancer. For example:

  • £220 could pay for 1,000 copies of the cancer guide.
  • Approximately £2,000 could pay for 9,000 copies of 'The Cancer Guide', which provides a whole range of information about cancer, its treatment and care, and lists of helpful organisations.
  • £10,000 could fund our CancerLine for 10 days. Enabling staff and volunteers to answer calls, emails and letters from cancer patients and their friends and families.
  • £100,000 could pay for a two room palliative care suite in a hospital, ensuring that cancer patients have a comforting and relaxed atmosphere to rest in.

The sponsorship that you raise through taking part in the BUPA Great Manchester Run will help 1,000s of people affected by cancer.
