If you're looking to push yourself to your limits, come with us on our toughest trek yet to conquer the greatest mountain in Africa, the sky-high Mount Kilimanjaro.
Standing at 5,896m, Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Macmillan Cancer Support is offering you the chance to reach new heights whilst raising money to help people living with cancer.
Our path, following the Machame Route, takes us from the base of this huge dormant volcano, over moorland, rocky trails and scree to the glaciers at the summit.
Long days of trekking, tough terrain and the ever increasing altitude combine to make this the ultimate physical and mental challenge, but the spectacular ice cliffs and breathtaking views across the Maasai plains, together with the knowledge that you are supporting people with cancer with every step will be your reward.
Join us to experience the euphoria of standing on top of the world.
Here at Macmillan we understand what it takes to train for and take on such a challenge. That's why we'll be there for you from the start with a dedicated overseas challenge team providing both fundraising and training advice. We'll prepare you for the challenge with our newsletters and briefing meeting, support you throughout the 11 day challenge, and be on hand to celebrate with you as you conquer this epic achievement.
By joining Macmillan, you will be helping us to provide immediate practical, emotional, medical and financial support that will change the lives of people living with cancer in the UK today. The challenge will be tough at times but you'll return with a real sense of pride in your achievement, and you'll have found yourself 30 new friends!
'An amazing experience that we will never forget. A huge challenge, but the great people, amazing scenery and team spirit made it achievable. Thank you to Macmillan for all your support.'
