Our internship scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved with Macmillan by working with our experienced staff on projects and events in 2009. If you're a student, graduate or considering a change in career, we've got opportunities for you to build on your existing skills and gain new ones. We also have work placements available, where you can gain experience by volunteering for one month in one of our departments.

Interested in pursuing a career in copywriting? Fancy developing your writing skills while working for the UK's leading cancer care charity? Macmillan produces a wide range of communications for people affected by cancer, marketing and fundraising materials. By becoming a copywriter intern you will help to write many different communications that will help people directly, point them to services or promote fundraising events. The internship is unpaid, but travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.

Macmillan London Special Events Assistant

The London Special Events Department organises high profile, fundraising events in London. The team has a busy programme of well established events which raise over £1 million each year for the vital work of Macmillan Cancer Support.
We are looking for two high calibre individuals who would really value and make the most of the opportunity to work for a large national charity on some truly exclusive and unique fundraising events. You must be hardworking, committed and enthusiastic as you would be joining our team to work on all of our Christmas events. Your help and involvement at our busiest time of year would be invaluable to the team as well as to the success of our events.

Work Placements
Gain experience by volunteering for one month in one of our departments. You'll be a talented individual with an interest in developing a career in this area and we'll provide you with the necessary training and support to make it a productive and exciting placement.

Macmillan Cancer Support has a huge range of services which we aim to deliver to everyone affected by cancer. By working with celebrities and VIPs we can reach our audiences through publicity, raise vital funding and make sure everyone affected by cancer knows about the services and help available.
This is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in the charity sector to get a full overview of the charity and what it does, and is a great introduction to anyone interested in working within the celebrity and VIP field. You will help Macmillan nurture our existing celebrity and VIP support and aid the team in bringing in new VIP and celebrity supporters. Your work will raise Macmillan's profile, and help us reach and support more people affected by cancer.
