Summer Ball brings in the money for Macmillan Cancer Support
BBC Presenter Ashley Blake, and his partner Jessica Hayes, staged their Annual Summer Ball in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday 23 August at their restaurant and bar, The Place 2B in Sutton Coldfield.

The event was a great success raising £1,050 for the charity with the evening including a cocktail reception, Thai buffet and fantastic entertainment from the Four Tops Tribute Band.
Ashley lost his mum to cancer in 2000 and Macmillan were there to provide support to her and the family. So the charity is close to Ashley’s heart and every year he aims to raise money for Macmillan in memory of his mum. Sharon Battersby, Fundraising Manager said:
“The Summer Ball was a fantastic evening with so many people showing their support for Macmillan. Ashley and Jessica were great hosts and the raffle and auction raised a great amount for the charity”.
