Charity lunch leaves guests satisfied!
On Saturday 19 July 2008 Carol and Colin McHale held a charity lunch at their home in Forest Row. Friends and neighbours gathered in their garden and together they raised an amazing £1,750 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 36 guests enjoyed a two-course lunch and a glass of wine and were more than happy to donate at least the suggested amount of £20 per head. They even had donations from friends that weren’t able to make it to the event.
As well as lunch, Carol and Colin also organised an auction with items donated from local firms. Among the items on offer were evening meal vouchers, a picnic rucksack, a dozen bottles of wine and a four-ball round of golf.
Carol and Coline's son, Patrick, was on hand to play the part of the auctioneer, and musician Donna played the guitar. Guests were provided with an afternoon full of enjoyment. What’s more the sun was shining!
We would like to say a big thank you to Carol and Colin for organising such a great event. The money they have raised goes towards the provision of vital services for people living with cancer in Sussex.
Why don’t you follow Carol and Colin’s lead and hold you own event in aid of Macmillan, it’s a lot of fun and the money raised makes such a real difference to people affected by cancer.
