Thank you for supporting our campaign

Thank you to the hundreds of campaigners who took action to change cancer care in Wales. Our campaign was an incredible success with nearly half of all politicians elected committing to support our campaign.

In fact the Welsh Labour Party, which won the election, included all of Macmillan’s calls in their election manifesto.

We are now working hard to make sure that all Assembly Members (AMs) help improve cancer care for people living in Wales.

What we're calling for

There are almost 120,000 people living with cancer in Wales today. By 2030 that number will have nearly doubled.

We're asking the government to develop a national cancer strategy that puts people at its heart. A strategy will ensure that every person diagnosed with cancer has:

• A care plan and regular assessments

• Information and support on issues such as finances and emotional wellbeing

• Support from a key worker who understands their needs.
