Without 24/7 care, Sue's husband couldn't spend the last week of his life at home.
'Unfortunately the pain and effect of chemotherapy meant my husband was in and out of the hospital and hospice.
'He wanted to be at home as much as possible. We got special chairs in. We got a hospital bed in. Unfortunately what we didn't get was the 24 hour care and that's what he would have liked.
'In the last week of my husband's life he drew a picture of how he'd like his room at home to be laid out. The picture was very wobbly and done in pencil, but I still have it. I couldn't give it to him.
'The hospice was wonderful, but it just wasn't home.'
