Issues raised

• The availability of end of life care provided in a setting outside of hospital is often a problem, so people have to stay in hospitals to receive their care.
  
• Marie Curie have found in their experience that there are often less problems with the grieving process after someone dies at home.
  
• GPs and other health and social care professionals should be properly trained about end of life care, and to support patient choice around dying.
  
• It is crucial that advance planning takes place that involves users.
