Join the Knowle and Dorridge Lions and Macmillan on this beautiful walk around the countryside and gardens of Baddesley Clinton National Trust House, Warwickshire.
This is the first time the Knowle and Dorridge Lions club have organised this walk for Macmillan. There is a choice of 3 circular routes available - a 4 mile, 7.5 mile and a more challenging 11 mile walk, all starting and finishing at Baddesley Clinton National Trust House which is located just 5 minutes from junction 5 M42. Much of the routes will follow a path along the Heart of England Way, and pass various pubs en-route. The 7.5 and 11 mile routes also passes by Packwood National Trust House. Refreshments will be available at the end of the walk from the Lions BBQ and all walkers will receive a free visit to the House and Gardens. This atmospheric house dates from the 15th century and was the home of the Ferrers family for 500 years. The house and interiors reflect its heyday in the Elizabethan era, when it was a haven for persecuted Catholics and there are three priest’s holes. There is a delightful garden with stewponds and a romantic lake and nature walk. So why not have a day out with family and friends and help raise thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Just choose which route you would like to walk below.
