Birnam and Dunkeld Walk 2012 - eight and twelve mile route
Join us for a walk in beautiful surroundings around the Birnam & Dunkeld path network. Leaving from Birnam village, the walk is easily accessible by road & rail, a short hop up the A9 from Perth. Our shorter route passes through the Tay Forest Park, to the village of Inver then through the spectacular Hermitage to Rumbling Bridge, before returning across open moorland towards Birnam.
For the fitter and more adventurous among us, the long route offers an ascent of Birnam Hill. Starting with a steep climb to the 420m summit in just over a mile, your efforts are rewarded with excellent views across the valley. The path then crosses the marshy & rocky peak before descending to the rear and returning round the flank to Birnam.
Our Perthshire walk is the perfect opportunity to get together with friends, remember loved ones and raise valuable funds to support the lives of people affected by cancer.
