Yes, each person must register individually and pay their registration fee. Please ensure that everyone enters their 'team name' when registering so we recognise you on the day of the event.

No. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Online registration for each walking event will close at midnight on the Wednesday prior to the walk. Please get in touch with our Fundraising Support Centre on 0300 1000 200 for all enquiries about late registration.

Yes, you will receive a letter of acknowledgment from us after we have received your sponsorship money.
Macmillan is able to reclaim tax on donations made by your sponsors at your walking event providing they are UK taxpayers and have paid an amount of income or capital gains tax which at least equals the amount of tax that Macmillan Cancer Support will reclaim in the tax year. Macmillan can claim back 25p of every £1 of your sponsors donation providing they complete their Gift Aid details correctly on your sponsor form.

Don’t forget that all the money raised via online fundraising sites, including any Gift Aid, will be forwarded to us directly.

No. If you are hosting your own walk you do not have to pay a registration fee.
No, you can host your walking event when there is a time that suits you.
You can create your own event materials using our online facility Be.Macmillan| . Once you register on the website you can create any materials you need for your event.
There is an option on the 'organise your own walk' registration form to make your event to the public. This is advertised on our website and promoted by you.
A number of walks posters already exist. If you search by 'Activity', 'Local sporting event' and 'Walk/hike' you'll see a selection of our most popular posters.
Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and to dress according to weather conditions. Take your time while walking and rest when needed. Any participant who has concerns about their physical condition is advised to consult their doctor before taking part. Macmillan Cancer Support does not accept any responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to participants or their property incurred during participation in this event.
