Yes, each person must register individually and pay their registration fee. Please ensure that everyone enters their 'team name' when registering so we recognise you on the day of the event.
Of course! You can register to do your own walk| for Macmillan and we'll send you your very own fundraising pack to help you raise even more for Macmillan. Plus if you're stuck for ideas of where to walk why not check out our suggested routes|.
If you’d prefer to take part in an organised event then why not check out your local pages| to see if there are any other walks happening in your area.
Packs will be sent out to all participants in June. For those that register after June you should receive your pack within seven to ten days of registering. If you do not receive your pack and you believe it has been lost then please contact our fundraising support centre by email miles@macmillan.org.uk| or by phone 0300 1000 200 so that a replacement can be sent out to you.
To help save money all t-shirts will be handed out on the day of the event.
When looking at our events please check the event information to find out whether the walk you are interested in is dog friendly.
When looking at our events please check the event information to find out whether the walk you are interested in is pushchair friendly. In some cases only one of the two routes available may be suitable for pushchairs.
All of our walks have two routes to choose from which we hope makes them suitable for everyone. We have 3 mile or 8 mile routes available at all of our Big Beautiful walks.
All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Sadly you will be unable to register for an event once online registration has closed.

Yes, you will receive a letter of acknowledgment from us after we have received your sponsorship money.
Gift Aid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities. For every £1 sponsored by a UK tax payer,
Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p back from the HMRC. Raising £1000 with Gift Aid becomes £1250 at no extra cost to you or your sponsors.

Don’t forget that all the money raised via online fundraising sites, including any Gift Aid, will be forwarded to us directly.

You can pay your sponsorship money directly into any branch of Natwest using the Bank Giro Credit slips (BGCs) attached to your welcome letter. If you need additional slips please contact our Fundraising Support Centre on 0300 1000 200 and we’ll arrange to send more to you. Any funds deposited this way will be automatically added to your fundraising total.
Yes, please register your event by filling out the registration form| so that we can send you your fundraising pack and Macmillan t-shirt.
No. If you are hosting your own walk you do not have to pay a registration fee.
No, you can host your walking event when there is a time that suits you.

We can provide up to five t-shirts per event however if your friends are taking part they can also register by using our registration form| then they will receive their very own fundraising pack and t-shirt.

A number of walks posters already exist. If you search by 'Activity', 'Local sporting event' and 'Walk/hike' you'll see a selection of our most popular posters.
When organising a fundraising event, you are responsible for making sure it poses no risk to others, therefore, you will need to carry out the appropriate risk assessments and consider whether or not you need insurance. In most cases, for public and/or hazardous events, you may need public liability cover in place. For private events this may not be necessary. Please seek advice if you are unsure.
