The official own place entry system is now open for 2013. A general entry system will run for now, but from 07 January to 07 February 2013 a ballot system will be adopted for the final places. We recommend you secure your place early before the ballot opens.
Visit www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk| and secure your place today. Then fill in our online form| to join Team Macmillan.
If the official entry system is full, you can still apply for one of our guaranteed places|. We ask you to pledge to raise a minimumof £500 in sponsorship for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Team Macmillan Guaranteed Places are available now, simply complete our Application Form|. For more information please contact us at londontriathlon@macmillan.org.uk| or call 020 7840 4937.
Macmillan does have some Guaranteed Places in the Virgin Active London Triathlon, you can chose any distance and enter individually or as a team of 2-3 people.
Our Team Macmillan Guaranteed Places are now available. Please visit our Join Team Macmillan| page for further details. In return for one of our places we ask for a pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £500 if entering individually or £1,000 if entering as a team. There is no registration fee to pay.
If you have already secured your own place then we do not set a minimum sponsorship target for you, we just ask you to raise as much as possible. And we'll provide you with the same level of care and support that our guaranteed place runners receive.
We ask that all our guaranteed place triathletes raise a minimum of £500. This will be due in one month after the event. Of course we'll give you all the encouragement and support you need to make sure you smash that target.
When you join Team Macmillan| you will be supported throughout your entire Virgin Active London Triathlon experience.
In addition to our initial fundraising and training pack you'll receive when you sign up, we'll send you regular newsletters with tips to help you train, fundraise and prepare for the big day.
We also have professional triathletes on hand to help give you advice. Last year Cat Morrison| provided a lunchtime webchat| to give lots of you advice.
And if that isn't enough, we'll give you the loudest support from our cheer points on race day. It doesn't matter what time your race starts or the weather, we can guarantee we'll be the loudest charity out there until the very last runner crosses the finish line. We don't desert you in the rain!
If you get injured while training we recommend you contact your GP or a specialist sports injury clinic. They will be able to advise you if you are fit enough to take part.
If you do need to withdraw you will need to notify the race organisers as soon as possible and return your race number and running chip (if you have received them by then). Please also let Macmillan know that you will not be taking part.
The race organisers will send you your race number and your running chip around a month before the race. These are vital and you will not be able to start the race without them.
Visit www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk| for more information about the event, training information and details of accommodation in the local area.
