Swimming is a great way to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and see some of the UK's greatest cities from a different viewpoint. If you're after a challenge, we've got plenty for you.

Date: 26 May 2012 Taking place around the rejuvenated Docklands area of the Thames, The Great London Swim is a brilliant challenge for all swimming abilities.
Date: 16 June 2012 A fantastic open water swim in the beautiful clean waters of Alton Reservoir near Ipswich. One mile and half mile distances available.
Date: 22-24 June 2012 A one mile open water swim in Lake Windermere. Thousands of swimmers of all abilities flock to Cumbria to test themselves against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District.
Date: 1 July 2012 This one mile event takes place around a unique ‘dock to dock’ course in the vibrant Salford Quays. Enjoy the opportunity to swim in one of the most distinctive waterfront areas of the UK.
Date: 25 August 2012 Scotland’s biggest outdoor swimming event, taking place in the beautiful Strathclyde Country Park. This is a unique opportunity to swim in the 2014 Commonwealth Games Triathlon venue.
Date: 17 June 2012 Swim in the picturesque Pugneys Country Park lake in Wakefield at this fantastic new open water swim with two distances to choose from.
Date: 18 August 2012 See if you can spot Nessie whilst swimming in one of the UK's biggest lochs.
Date: Summer 2012 A chance to jump into picturesque locations along the River Thames. Distances range from 950m all the way up to 10k.
