Swimming is a great way to raise money for Macmillan and see some of the UK's greatest cities from a different viewpoint. If you're after a challenge, you're in the right place.

Date: 14 June - 31 August 2013 The Great Swim Series is the UK's biggest outdoor swimming series with events taking place all over the country.
Date: 23 June 2013 Swim in the picturesque Pugneys Country Park lake in Wakefield at this fantastic open water swim. Two distances to choose from and a brand new aquathon for those that want to include a run with their swim.
Date: June - September 2013 A chance to jump into one of the most beautiful and famous stretches of river in the world. Distances range from 1 mile to 14 km.
Date: 14 September and 1 February 2013 If you're looking for a distance challenge, take on 5.25 miles at the Coniston End to End event or if cold water takes your fancy, plunge into The Big Chill Swim.
Date: 17 August 2013 See if you can spot Nessie while swimming in one of the UK's biggest lochs.
