This is your timing device which you must wear during the Bupa Great South Run. This will be sent to you with your race number and Runners’ Guide approximately two weeks before the race.
The Ipico chip timing system will give you completely accurate timing. As well as your official ‘gun’ time (the time from the moment the race starts to when you cross the finish) you will also receive a ‘chip’ time, which will show your personalised time from crossing the start line to crossing the finish. Your chip will be activated as soon as you cross the mats on the start line, and again as you cross the finish line.
