Questions about running the Brighton Marathon? Find answers to all the most common queries below.
The ballot results will be announced on Wednesday 1 June and all applicants will be notified if they are succesful or not.
If you are succesful in the ballot you will recieve an email with a registration link and unique code, and will have until Friday 17 June to register and confirm a place.
If you are unsuccessful in either the public registration or in the ballot then you can apply for one of Team Macmillan's guaranteed charity places|. Please fill in an application form and return it to Team Macmillan, 89 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7UQor email over to brightonmarathon@macmillan.org.uk|.

We ask everyone allocated a Team Macmillan Guaranteed Charity Place in the Brighton Marathon to raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £800. We will contact you within 7 working days to let you know if your application is successful.
If you are running on one of our guaranteed charity places then you will have a minimum sponsorship amount of £800 to raise. This will due in one month after the event (15 May 2012).
If you are succesful in securing your own place then you do not have a minimum sponsorship target, we just ask you to raise as much as possible. We will provide you with the same level of care and support that our guaranteed place runners receive.
An 'own place' is when you secure a place in the Brighton Marathon directly through the race organisers - either through public registration or the ballot.
If you are successful in securing your own place in the Brighton Marathon then you can join Team Macmillan through our online form|.
A charity guaranteed place means that you have completed a guaranteed charity place application form and have been notified by Team Macmillan that your application was successful.
We will make guaranteed place application forms available to download when public registration has filled.

Of course. When you sign up to run the Brighton Marathon with Team Macmillan we’ll provide you with a comprehensive training pack and regular newsletters full of top training tips, including advice from our Team Macmillan patrons. We will also advise you of other useful sources of information to help you prepare for the big day.
If you or any of your team mates get injured while training we recommend you contact your GP, physio or specialist sports injury clinic. They will be able to advise you if you are fit enough to run.
If you do need to withdraw you will need to inform the Brighton Marathon race organisers as soon as possible. Please also let Macmillan know so that we can advise you about transferring your place.
Your official race number and timing chip will be sent to you directly from the Brighton Marathon race organisers approximately two weeks before the event.
