In 2013, The Gulls’ Egg City Luncheon will celebrate its 25th Anniversary. As an established event within the city's calender it has a loyal following and heralds the start of the summer.
The Macmillan Gulls' Eggs City Luncheon is an important fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising around £90,000 annually for Macmillan. This special 25th anniversary year will be chaired by Rupert Phelps from BNY Mellon Family Office Services.
For the city-based guests, it provides a rare opportunity to see familiar faces and feast on a delicacy which remains in season only three to four weeks of the year. The event is an informal standing lunch, serving a feast of gulls’ eggs with traditional accompaniments including smoked salmon, cheeses, plum cake and fine wines.
The Merchant Taylor's Hall, London.
This year The Gulls' Egg City Luncheon will be on Tuesday 14th May.
