Celebrate the great work of carers across the country
Carers Week is 13 – 19 June and Macmillan is once again a national partner.
Carers Week| is organised by nine leading charities, including Macmillan, to highlight and celebrate the amazing contribution made by the six million carers across the UK.
Each carer's contribution is different. Kirsty, 19, from Leicestershire told us about the care her mother gave her when she was diagnosed with cancer. She said: ‘My mum was there for me the whole way through my cancer journey. She stayed in hospital with me 24/7, supported me through my radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment and all my operations. I couldn’t have got through it without her care.’
