The Big Fish is back and this year we want hundreds of anglers to take part. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just want to try something new while raising money for Macmillan, The Big Fish is the event for you!
The Big Fish is taking place in fisheries across Scotland and Northern Ireland this summer.
At each venue, participants will have the chance to win up to £1000 in vouchers, and one lucky angler will land a day of fishing with Paul Young, presenter of tv show, Hooked on Fishing.
Last year’s Big Fish raised thousands for Macmillan, but with your help we’re sure we can raise even more to fund our vital cancer services.

All entrants must raise a minimum of £50 in donations (excluding fishing fee). Fishing fees must be paid directly to the participating venue.
The person who raises the highest sponsorship on the day across the competition will win a day of fishing with Paul Young (subject to cheques clearing).
On the day anglers in each fishery will also have the chance to win £1000 in vouchers (for the Glasgow Angling Centre - online ordering available). All they have to do is catch three tagged fish worth £500, £300, £200 – and watch out that they don’t catch the booby prize fish!
The lucky anglers who catch the heaviest bag of fish and the biggest fish, will win an engraved trophy.
Please note the same person cannot win both the heaviest bag and heaviest fish prize.
