Team of Volunteers in our Aberdeen Office
Volunteers at the Aberdeen office of Macmillan Cancer Support were treated to coffee and cake at a special party to celebrate volunteers week.
The volunteers, who collectively have over 35 years service with Macmillan, help out in a variety of ways from counting money, changing collecting cans from shops and administrative work.
Fundraising manager Katie Smart said: “We wouldn’t be able to run as efficiently as we do without the help of our dedicated volunteers, so it is important to make them feel valued and appreciated. We have a variety of skilled and enthusiastic people that come into the office and contribute to the success of the charity.”
The charity are looking to expand their volunteer network and would encourage anyone who feels they have any time to spare or valuable skills, including computer skills, to get in touch.
