General Manager awarded the MBE for services to cancer patients

Heather Monteverde, our General Manager for Macmillan in Northern Ireland has been awarded the MBE for services to cancer patients.

Heather started her career as a breast cancer nurse in Belfast in the 1980’s and now manages Macmillan’s services across Northern Ireland.

Heather said: 'It’s been a wonderful experience – a career I have absolutely loved and continue to love working with people affected by cancer and all the superb health and social care professionals.'
