The airport will be supporting Macmillan by getting involved in fundraising events and encouraging staff and customers to help raise crucial funds. All money raised will go towards providing medical, financial, practical and emotional support for the 55,000 people in Northern Ireland living with cancer.
Belfast City Airport Communications Executive Ruth Morgan said: 'We are delighted to have teamed with Macmillan Cancer Support as our charity partner, and are in admiration of the vital support they provide for cancer patients and their families.'
'We look forward to taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and indeed the other events that Macmillan will offer to raise funds to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.'
Macmillan Cancer Support New Business Manager Claire Brown added: 'We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Belfast City Airport. As we receive limited government support, we rely heavily on the support of corporate NI to sustain our services and are extremely grateful to the airport for this support.'
'I have met with the team and I am extremely encouraged by their enthusiasm and have no doubt that they will push themselves to reach maximum funds in all of their fundraising.'
