Steve Parsons' team
A fantastic 6 teams in Wiltshire took part in the Longest Day Golf Challenge this year.
The first of these to register was Steve Parsons, whose team visited four courses on Monday 20 June: Marlborough, Ogborne Downs, Broome Manor and Wragg Barn. The team teed off in Marlborough at 4:10am and finished at Wrag Barn at 8:44pm, meaning the 72 holes took 16.5 hours in total.
Steve’s stats from the day included at least 20 miles being walked, approximately 3000 calories each being burned and only 15 balls being lost all day.
Final scores are coming in from the teams (based on the best two stableford scores per hole, combined with the funds raised) before the top four teams are invited to play in a final at the Boavista Golf Resort on the Algarve, Portugal between 9-11 October 2011.
We wish all of our Wiltshire teams the best of luck.
