Wynsors World of Shoes has been doing its best to raise funds for Macmillan.
Since October 2012, Wynsors has raised over £50,000 for Macmillan through a variety of activities. Staff at Wynsors wanted to support Macmillan after they realised how many people were affected by cancer and how much people can benefit from help and support.
So far fundraising activities have included the Manchester 10k, book sales, tombolas, face painting and even seasonal related events. There are a number of Wynsors stores taking part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning at the end of September, along with the Leeds store taking part in a 10k bike ride.
Wynsors employee Dennis Farrell just took on the BUPA Great North Run to raise further funds. Dennis has run the race before, and says:
'The atmosphere last time was amazing and kept me going. I trained really hard, running up to 18miles a week. This helped me too lose over two stone over the last few months – which helped me to gain a great time.'
Wynsors has grown from a handful of market stalls to employing over 700 people across 41 sites and still expanding. Each store takes on their own fundraising events as well as individual employees helping to raise further funds.

Many thanks to everyone at Wynsors for helping to generate vital funds for Macmillan.
