Matthew Marshall from Halifax has successfully completed a coastline riding challenge on a 20 year old 100cc two stroke Motorcycle covering over a 1000 miles.
The epic journey was completed over three days last September. The route started in Scarborough; then south to Norfolk and Essex, across the Thames to the South Coast, on to Devon and north through Wales then back to Brighouse in West Yorkshire.
Matthew chose to raise funds for Macmillan because a close family member has received care from a Macmillan Nurse.
On completing the epic journey Matthew said:
‘I know that you will put the money to good use and the effort of the challenge was worth it.
‘I am big and the motorcycle is small, so this was hard on both me and the motorcycle. Unfortunately the little old bike expired at the end of the trip, literally as I arrived back in Brighouse it breathed it's last, and is still in bits.’
Matthew smashed his target of £1000 and successfully raised £1200.
A huge well done and thank you to Matthew – and good luck at trying to piece the bike back together.
