An online charity auction by a Leeds company in aid of Macmillan was launched this week, with the top auction item being a pair of tickets to see the sold out One Direction concert in Manchester.
It's really easy to take part. Simply browse through the items on the website| and place your bid.
The auction will close on Friday 4 January - so get bidding! Winners will be notified by 7 January.
Other fantastic items include a £250 voucher to spend at David M Robinson Jewellers and there is also a night’s stay at the Light Boutique Hotel| based in Manchester for 4 people.
Every penny raised from the auction will go straight to Macmillan and will be used to support people affected by cancer.
Sacco Mann Recruitment, whose head office is based in Leeds, attained all of the amazing items through a staff ‘trade up’ team building challenge in Manchester where they headed out on the town in teams with the sole aim of collecting as much as they possibly could for Macmillan.
Rachael Mann at Sacco Mann in Leeds says: ‘We thought this challenge was ideal – it brought together people from different offices, in different roles and at different levels. The challenge enabled everyone to contribute and played to our skills of persuasion and negotiation whilst making a contribution to a hugely deserving cause! It was hard work, especially later in the day when the rain started to fall, but everyone got into the spirit of the challenge and got a lot out of the day.’
Clara White, Fundraising Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support says: ‘We are so grateful to Sacco Mann for taking on this challenge and organising this brilliant online auction. The money raised will make a massive difference to the lives of people living with cancer in the UK.'
