On 17 April 2010 the Sytner Oldbury Dealership held their first charity event of 2010 for their chosen charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support. Sytner Oldbury| threw a party to celebrate its first birthday in its new Mini showroom to raise money for an extremely important cause.
The weekend was a great success and saw staff and customers taking part in a charity raffle to win prizes, including a weekend in the new Mini One Convertible and a Mini Cooper Driving Experience.
Families were entertained by a resident DJ and a pool competition on the top floor of the showroom. A bouncy castle and face painter were on hand to keep the children entertained outside. Customers also enjoyed refreshments and a slice of Mini’s 1st Birthday Cake.
A charity car wash also took place on the day with staff washing customer’s cars while they enjoyed the facilities on offer at Sytner Oldbury's| state of the art showroom.
Said Carl Harris, Brand Manager of Sytner Mini Oldbury:
'We were delighted to be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support for the second year running across all of the Sytner Oldbury Dealership|. This year we have set ourselves a target of raising £10,000 for Macmillan and our 1st Birthday Party of the Mini Showroom today is the start of our fundraising activities for the year. 'The day was a great way of thanking our existing customers for their support over the last year while hopefully attracting new ones to the dealership to enjoy the Mini experience. It was a great way to bring customers and staff together for a fun day to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity and make a real difference in the local community.'
