Donald's grandchildren and friends
On 30 December David Fradgley organised a music night at Katie Fitzgeralds pub and music venue in Stourbridge, which was in memory of his grandfather Donald. The gig was a complete success and completely sold out.
David said: “The atmosphere was fantastic and Bigger than Seattle kicked off the night with a fantastic set full of big tunes and epic guitar and bass playing, with thundering drums and smooth vocals.
"Then it was the turn of Red Already, who returned after two years, keeping the crowd bouncing with their funky rock, playing all the hits plus cover versions of Keep on Rocking in the Free World and Blur's Song 2. A special edition T-shirt was even auctioned during the set to raise further funds for Macmillan. There was even time for an encore of the band's fave song 'Monkey!'”
More than £300 was raised on the evening and a fantastic night was had by all. The total will be added to the funds already raised for Macmillan from Donald Fradgley's funeral donations which came to £220. It's all in memory of a wonderful, husband, father and grandfather, who died on 14 November 2011. Well done to David and all the other grandchildren and friends who helped on the night.
