Team Macmillan Wolverhampton are a group of four fun loving, dedicated ladies with a passion to make a difference in their local community.
Macmillan Cancer Support are seeking committed individuals to join a new fundraising group in Wolverhampton.
One of the members of the group, Sarah Sheldon, has survived both cervical and ovarian cancer and wanted to join the group to say thank you for the help that she received from Macmillan.
Sarah says: ‘Macmillan provided so much help to me when I was diagnosed in so many different ways. I wanted to join this group to help inspire others to get involved whilst organising some great events that I know will make such a difference to the lives of people living in Wolverhampton.’
Whether you have had a cancer experience yourself, or would like to have a go at organising a fundraising event, then please get involved. The group are now planning a busy calendar of activities throughout 2011, Macmillan’s centenary year. These include a zumbathon, participation in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and Christmas gift wrapping.
For more information and for future meeting dates please call the Birmingham and Black Country fundraising office on 0121 742 6393.
