Daisy chose to support Macmillan Cancer Support and so created this fantastic piece completely out of paper.
When Cat Yates, one of our local Fundraising Managers visited Lyndon School recently to do an assembly celebrating the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, she came back to the office with more than just a cheque.
Year 8 pupil Daisy Andrews was requested along with her class mates as part of an RE project to ‘express in a creative way, someone or something that she admires’. Daisy chose to support Macmillan Cancer Support and so created this fantastic piece completely out of paper.
We think it is a great inspirational piece showing that cancer affects all ages and that Macmillan will provide support to all. If you know of someone below the age of 16 wanting to find out more information about cancer and how Macmillan can help visit our www.whybother.org.uk| website.
Cat was also delighted to announce during the assembly that the school’s coffee morning on Friday 24 September raised a fantastic £150! Raised in just 40 minutes!
Thank you to everyone at Lyndon School, for their hard work, especially for their cooking and eating cake skills.
