Four gentlemen from Rise Dance Academy endured a leg wax to raise funds
Members if the Rise Dance Academy presented a cheque to Coventry and Warwickshire fundraising mananger Mandy Spraggett.
A Warwickshire dance group has handed over a cheque for nearly £1,500 to Macmillan Cancer Support.
The donation comes after members of the group, including a police officer and a fireman, tested their pain threshold in the name of charity.
The four men – West Midlands Police traffic officer Dean Wainwright, Nuneaton firefighter Stuart Rolfe, Paul Tallis and Steve Akers – volunteered to have their legs waxed to raise funds for the charity.
The men are all involved with Christian community dance group Rise, which holds classes for both adults and children in Nuneaton and Bedworth.
Cakes and refreshments were also sold throughout the evening to boost the cash raised as local beautician Kimberley Ball did her work.
