The home, in Thorne Hill Road, Ponteland, will be hosted a family fun on Saturday March 30 and Home Manager Jeanette Leadbitter promises there will be something for all the family.
She said, 'My team, the residents and their families are helping to create lots of stalls and activities. As well as an Easter Egg hunt in our beautiful gardens, we will also have egg decorating, an egg and spoon race, a cake stall and a tombola and raffle stall.'
Visitors also had the opportunity to have manicures at the nail painting stall and indulge their sweet tooth at the old fashioned sweetshop stall.
Jeanette said, 'Cancer is a disease that has affected the lives of many of our team, residents and loved ones, so we wanted to create a fun and happy day for the community that would also help to support a truly worthwhile charity.'
Local Fundraising Manager Erin Fairley said, 'We are delighted that Ponteland Manor Care Home and Care UK are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support this year. The money they have raised from the event will enable us to reach more people who need support and make sure no one has to face cancer alone.
