Since 2011, Jackson’s Law Firm has been working in partnership with Macmillan to help raise funds to improve the lives of those living with cancer in the local area.
So far raising an amazing £3,860.
In July this year they held an extremely popular Will Writing Scheme, and there are still funds to coming in from the scheme. The law firm, situated in Newcastle city centre, will once again be offering to write or amend wills free of charge during the month of November. All they ask is for a donation to be given to Macmillan in place of payment.
The money raised from the Will Writing Scheme which starts on Thursday 1 November 2012 will go towards improving vital cancer services in the area, including Macmillan nurses, specialists, support managers and social workers.
The fundraiser has attracted new clients to the firm, but has also given people the opportunity to do something very important whilst making a difference to people affected by cancer at the same time.
Lydia McCaslin at Jacksons Law said:
'We have enjoyed working in partnership with Macmillan. So many of our clients have been in touch to support the scheme as we all know someone who has been affected by cancer. We have heard some lovely reasons as to why people wanted to make a donation to Macmillan and I am sure we will hear many more. Writing your will is very important so please do give us a call and book in to see us this coming month.'
