The Village Inn
A group of locals from the Village Inn in Longframlington, Morpeth have pledged to raise as much as they can for Macmillan Cancer Support during 2012 by holding a number of different fundraising activities. From Casino to Auction Nights & Bike rides to walking the West Highland Way, they have already raised more than £5,000 for Macmillan’s local services.
Gavin Christie & Terry Maughan have been planning events along with the help of the pub’s regulars and hope to raise £10,000 by the end of the year. Local Fundraising Manager, Kelly Knighting-Wykes said: 'Everyone from the Village Inn is so supportive and have been making a huge effort to support Macmillan. We really appreciate everything they are doing to make their fundraising total their biggest yet and it will go a long way in helping Macmillan provide its many services to local people affected by cancer and their families.'
