Southern Water plc held their annual Charity Ball at Effingham Park, Copthorne Hotel on 31 May 2012 and raised a staggering £60,000 for their nominated charities.
Over 400 guests enjoyed the spectacular evening with entertainment from cancan dancers and comedians at the Moulin Rouge themed ball. Through the charity ball, a race day at Fontwell Racecourse in 2011 and the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, Southern Water have raised over £27,000 for Macmillan to support the Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre.
Mandy Kendall, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan in Sussex said, ‘We are very grateful to Southern Water and their contractors for all their support. It was a fantastic and enjoyable evening.’
Macmillan Cancer Support would like to say a very big thank you to Southern Water for their support through the Southern Water Charity Ball 2012. The money raised from this fantastic event will help build the Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre. The centre will help local people with cancer make informed choices, secure financial support and will change lives.
