As you may remember last year we told you about a book, What would you like to do? that was being sold in aid of Macmillan. The book written by Peter Sangster has been reviewed by ex jockey Bob Champion MBE. What would you like to do? By Peter Sangster
This is the most wonderful book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading and highly recommend. It took me on a journey which had many twists and turns and covered the changing attitudes and pace of life over the decades of Peter’s life. My overriding feeling whilst on Peter's journey was one of warmth and understanding, he offers a constructive and enjoyable window into the life of someone living with cancer and sharing his family, friends and experiences with the reader. The title is excellent – what would you like to do?
Peter offers an interesting insight which will engage the reader and will hopefully not just prove an interesting read but also raise much needed funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support. As a cancer sufferer myself there were many parts I could relate to and found very moving, my strength and determination came from family and friends. Andy Ripley, who is mentioned within the book, was also a friend of mine he was one of the most positive people I ever met, a truly wonderful man.
Dare we hope? We dare... Bob Champion MB December 14 2011
